My Story

I soon realised we had to raise big money I had started linedancing it was something I could do with out being reminded of cancer and you did not need a partner as my Husband does not like dancing I got fed up with people laughing and saying yeh ha to me when I told them I did this so I had an idea to show that linedancers are very supportive I designed a stetson hat with a pink ribbon on and found a magazine who wanted my story and would put my pin in my Husband thought I was of my head when I ordered 5,000 pins but I sold the lot and now I am in my fifth year of the pins for linedancers.

We also have a new pin every year for people who are not linedancers.
Other events I have held are lunch and a ball at brocket hall,
Abseil and a zip slide down the QE11 Hospital it’s a knockout a bike ride from Cambridge to Hertford rock and roll evenings linedance party’s we raffled a huge Easter Egg in Barclays bank which was donated by Lessitters in Knebworth collections at Tesco’s and the Howard centre sponsored walks, vintage car show at Stanborough Lakes also the community has helped and sent money in and a lot of letter writing.
We are now discussing the plans for this unit like how many rooms we need what we need it is very hard work but very exciting to be planning my dream for Men and Women in Hertfordshire
